For those of you who knows me personnally, you know that I’m a crazy women when it comes to planning. My mindset is “L’imprévu est prévu.” (the unexpected is expected). I plan EVERYTHING. If it’s not on paper, it’s in my head. Crystal clear and ready to be achieved.
Hopefully I’ll be able to help you become a planning queen
(if you want to, of course)! Quickly, I’ll go through how I plan my day : there is nothing revolutionary that’s why I won’t spend too much time on that. Firstly, I use the Google Calendar app
on my phone to organize my events, to schedule my blog posts and also for important reminders. Secondly, I have a notebook
, where each page is dedicated to one day and I write important events, things I need to remember or just inspiration, then I add a lists of all of the tasks I have to do during my day.
Planning our day and writing lists is great, but what’s more difficult is to truely follow what we wrote. Unfortunately there is no magical formula : you’ll have to force yourself to stick to your plan. But remember that : it’ll be hard during the first few days but then it’ll become an habit, so please don’t quit! At the end of the day, you’ll have a feeling of accomplishment once you’ve finished your tasks and trust me it’s amazing! You used the full potential of your day without procrastinating (yeah, because planning is the biggest ennemy of procrastination). It’ll keep you so motivated, so get started right now!
“Look to today. Procrastination is the art of keeping up with yesterday.“
Also if you tend to be stressed out when you have so much things to do, planning is really effective. Take some time to calm you down and write your tasks. Then you’ll see your day becoming much clearer. But be careful not to overpack your day! It’s a common mistake that will ruin your energy… Make realistic plan and don’t forget time for yourself. It’s not because you’re planning that you’ll become a crazy work machine. Don’t put too much work, you’ll get much better results if you know that your day isn’t way too full and that all of your energy can go into important tasks : quality over quantity!
Please, get up of your bed (ok, I’m writing that while in my bed, but it’s because it’s cold…) and get ready for your productive day! You have so much to do, dreams to achieve and things to learn!
